Paul Kleinschmidt, our Data Scientist, attended the annual Applied Machine Learning Days in Lausanne, Switzerland. Applied Machine Learning Days at EPFL consisted of five days of 31 hands-on sessions and 29 tracks on machine learning and artificial intelligence with top speakers from around the world.

Paul’s talk was part of the AI & Online Business track. It outlined the Dynamic Pricing Competition set-up, which will be in the 3rd year running in 2020, co-hosted by Haensel AMS & University of Amsterdam. The talk also covered how it can function as a benchmarking tool for people working on pricing algorithms and what insights we found from last year’s tournament.
